Presenting at Panel
There are no regional winners. The object of Regional Panels is to identify across Scotland, the maximum 30 applications most suitable to be national finalists, taking account of the six entry categories. Each Regional Panel will meet the applicants, assess and score their applications.
The Panel
Each Regional Panel is made up of business professionals and specialists. Each panelist has agreed to sign a Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA). The Panel will be supported by one of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme team to coordinate the day’s activity. The Programme team will then pull together the results from the Regional Panels and put the top 5 from each entry category forward to the National Panel.
Making your Case
We would ask you to do a 5-10 minute presentation / introduction to your application tailored to the Award category for which you have been selected. This will be followed by an opportunity for the Panel to ask questions for a further 20 minutes.
If you are selected to present at panel you should bring along copies of presentations and any other supporting documentation you think is appropriate and that panelists can absorb in the limited time available.
Each Panel member will already have been provided with a copy of your application. You shouls also arrive 5-10 minutes in advance of your interview. Ideally, you should email your presentation at least 2 days in advance of your interview. Alternatively, you may bring your own laptop for your presentation (if any) on a USB memory stick or on CD Rom.
